LPSCC Draft Positions
Following are position statements drafted by members of the LPSCC Platform Committee, to be considered for adoption by the central committee. They are not yet official positions of the county party.
- Flood Control should not be easily accepted by governments unless the complete set of tradeoffs is considered, especially as it regards groundwater recharge and preference for certain neighborhoods over others.
- In no case shall eminent domain be used to justify or enable government flood control projects to proceed.
