Local bond measures alone total almost $3.4 billion.
Party also opposes regional and state bond proposals.
The Libertarian Party of Santa Clara County is recommending a NO vote on 26 local tax measures placed on the ballot by cities and school districts within the county.
This includes 10 proposals relating to parcel taxes, several relating to sales taxes, one property transfer tax, and 12 measures to authorize bonds to be funded through future taxes.
The total amount of the bond measures alone is staggering: almost $3.4 billion. The largest is being proposed by San Jose Unified School District, for more than $1 billion, but several others are well in excess of $100 million.
Also on the ballot this November are a regional measure to authorize $20 billion in bonds, allegedly to address homelessness, and two state bond measures for $10 billion each. The LP SCC recommends a NO vote on these proposals as well.
