The Libertarian Party of California has made recommendations on 12 of 14 propositions that will be appearing on the statewide ballot:

  Authorizes state bonds (to subsidize housing).
• Proposition 2 NO
  Increases tax money put into state "rainy day" fund.
• Proposition 3 NO
  Extends higher income tax rates.
• Proposition 4 NO
  Expands taxpayer funding of local election campaigns.
• Proposition 5 (no recommendation)
  Changes recall procedures.
• Proposition 37 NO
  Authorizes state bonds (to provide home loans).
• Proposition 38 NO
  Authorizes state bonds (for immunology research).
• Proposition 39 NO
  Increases election bureaucracy for registering and voting.
• Proposition 40 NO
  New tax on personal assets.
• Proposition 41 YES
  Requires audits of funds from new special taxes; limits certain new taxes.
• Proposition 42 YES
  Prohibits new personal property taxes and retroactive taxes.
• Proposition 43 YES
  Makes increasing local taxes harder.
• Proposition 44 NO
  Additional rule for community health clinics.
• Proposition 45 (no recommendation)
  Modifies environmental review process.
