LPC Endorses Three 2024 Candidates

Three members of the LP of Santa Clara County who are planning to file as candidates in the 2024 election have been endorsed by the Libertarian Party of California.

The endorsements were made during the annual state Libertarian Party convention, which was held this year in Sacramento over the Presidents Day weekend.

The Santa Clara County candidates endorsed by the LPC are:

  • Joe Dehn, candidate for US House, District 17
Dehn is currently serving as Chair of the LP SCC. He is a past LP National Secretary, and has been a candidate for Congress previously.

  • Alan Kaiser, candidate for State Senate, District 13
Kaiser is currently serving as Treasurer of the LP SCC. He has been active recently in opposition to tax and spending in the city of Palo Alto, and in the development of local LP positions on issues relating to state and local government.

  • Mark Hinkle, candidate for State Senate, District 15
Hinkle is currently serving as Vice Chair of the LP SCC, and is a past LP National Chair. He has been a candidate for public office multiple times, and is among the most prolific authors of statements that appear in the local voter guide opposing tax and bond measures.

Candidates for partisan office in the 2024 election will start the process of filing in September 2023.
