LPSCC Draft Positions
Following are position statements drafted by members of the LPSCC Platform Committee, to be considered for adoption by the central committee. They are not yet official positions of the county party.
We oppose all taxes on income. We call for the elimination of the federal income tax and the state income tax, the abolition of the Internal Revenue Service and the Franchise Tax Board, and the repeal of the 16th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Pending such reforms, we support reduction in income tax rates for all levels of income, and oppose any increases or surcharges for any purpose. We oppose the establishment of an income tax by the county or any city.
